Globalization is a process in which interdependence and integration take matter in people and countries around the world. Also, the spread of business and technology spreading around the world. For example, clothing industries need to input so much money in order to make a shirt, they need cotton and other materials. They need to investigate what country sells the low-priced cotton. Globalization is good regardless of the negative impact it may be causing such as effecting families and less culture diversity. Three examples of globalization in Canada include Confederation and Protectionism, Culture, Culture and Foreign Money. In confederation and protectionism Canada will sent out their immigration agents and trade commissioners’ abroad long years of confederation. Ones of Canada’s big issue before globalization existed was trade, was a high tariff necessary to promote domestic manufacturing. Lastly, technology and migration have helped bring out globalization in the cultural sphere. There are many pros and cons about globalization in Canada. Free trade is a benefit to globalization because reduces the barriers that once stood between nations trading freely with one another. Canada is also able to eat fresh fruits and vegetables during the winter. One of the biggest downsides to globalization is harming economies at an early stage of development.
I just finished creating a report on the status of education in Canada which you will find on my Political and Economics page. I invite you to make comments on this report.
According to an organization for economic co-operation and economic women spend an average of 254 minutes a day cleaning or caring for their children, cooking and men spend an average of 160 minutes doing tasks women do all day (Huffpost Living). Canada is said to be the best country to be a woman and the top 20 countries to be mothers. Women were not the first to come from European expeditions to explore and trade fur. Both men and women have different roles that they must complete every day. For example if a women stays home she must do all the necessities that require women to do at home, men in the other hand have to work and supply money. If both of men and women do their jobs they won’t require any necessities.
In Canada more men are employed than women, the percentile is not too high, for instance 75% of men are employed vs 69% of women. Women work more time doing chores around the house than men do. When women marry men from fur traders they are connected with two cultures: survival skills and native customs and languages. If native women married nonnative women they immediately lose their status. (Anderson, Doris). It was very unusual for a women to own a property, men are the ones who take charge of the property. However, women played a big role in religion rather than men. I believe both men and woman should have equal rights do what pleases them, no country should ever lower women’s standards. I also believe both men and women have the same power and both could do intelligent things. Both their job/career are as important as one another’s. Men should not make women feel less but support their decisions the same way they believe in their standards. Citations: Anderson, D. (2006, February 7). Status of Women.
